Cecil Barror facts for kids
Cecil John Rhodes Barror (born August 12, 1911 – died October 15, 1999) was an Irish actor and broadcaster. He was also a barrister, which is a type of lawyer who argues cases in court. Barror was a dedicated member of the famous Abbey Theatre in Dublin for many years, from 1936 to 1979.
He was born in Clontarf, Dublin. In 1942, he married Ethna Graham. Ethna was also very talented; she started and led a choir called The Lindsay Singers, which became well-known internationally. They had five children together.
Cecil Barror was involved in radio as well. In 1947, he acted in a play called Dignity for Radio Éireann. This play was written by the Irish playwright Teresa Deevy.
Barror passed away in 1999 and is buried in Glasnevin Cemetery in Dublin.
