Federal Center for Technological Education of Minas Gerais facts for kids
The Federal Center for Technological Education of Minas Gerais (Portuguese: Centro Federal de Educação Tecnológica de Minas Gerais), often called CEFET-MG, is a special school in the Brazilian state of Minas Gerais. It's a place where students can learn about technology and many other subjects.
CEFET-MG is a big school that offers lots of courses. It helps students learn skills for jobs and also prepares them for higher education. About 15,000 students go there. There are also 650 teachers and 400 staff members who help run the school. They focus on teaching, doing research, and helping the community. This happens for both high school and college-level students.
CEFET-MG has several campuses. Campuses I, II, and VI are in Belo Horizonte, on Amazonas Avenue. Other campuses, called Decentralized Education Units (UNEDs), are in different cities across Minas Gerais. These cities include Leopoldina, Araxá, Divinópolis, Varginha, Timóteo, Nepomuceno, Curvelo, and Contagem.
