Different Versions of the Cessna 150
The Cessna 150 was sold in several different models. Each model had special features.
Standard and Trainer Models
The Standard model was the basic version of the plane. It was simple and reliable. The Trainer model was made especially for flight schools. It had dual controls, meaning both the student and the instructor could fly the plane.
Commuter and Aerobat Models
The Commuter was a more deluxe version. It offered extra features for comfort. There were also special Patroller options. These added things like windows in the lower part of the doors. Later, the even fancier Commuter II was introduced. For pilots who liked exciting maneuvers, there was the Aerobat. This model was built to perform aerobatic stunts safely.
The Cessna 150's Successor
In 2007, the Cessna company announced a new airplane. This plane was called the Model 162 Skycatcher. It was designed to be a modern version of the popular Model 150 and 152.
