Chapchai Nirat (ชัพชัย นิราช) is a professional golfer from Thailand. He was born on June 5, 1983. He is known for his impressive golf skills and has won many tournaments throughout his career.

Chapchai's Golf Journey
Chapchai's dad was also a golfer for the Thai national team. This meant Chapchai grew up around golf. He became a professional golfer in 1998 when he was only 15 years old.
His first big win as a pro was in 2004 at the Genting Masters in Malaysia. This was an exciting start to his career.
Joining the Asian Tour
In 2005, Chapchai joined the Asian Tour. This is a series of golf tournaments held across Asia. In his very first year, he finished second in a tournament, which was a great achievement for a new player.
Big Wins and Records
Chapchai had a fantastic year in 2007. He won two important tournaments:
- The TCL Classic
- The Hana Bank Vietnam Masters
The TCL Classic was special because it was part of both the Asian Tour and the European Tour. This meant he was competing against top golfers from Europe too. Chapchai was only the third Thai golfer ever to win a European Tour event.
In March 2009, Chapchai set an amazing record at the SAIL Open. He finished the tournament 32 strokes under par. "Under par" means he took fewer shots than expected for the course. This was the best score ever recorded over 72 holes on the Asian Tour. He won by a huge margin of 11 strokes!

He has one win on the European Tour. This was the TCL Classic in 2007. He finished 22 strokes under par.
Asian Tour Triumphs
Chapchai has won four times on the Asian Tour:
- The TCL Classic in 2007 (also a European Tour win).
- The Hana Bank Vietnam Masters in 2007.
- The SAIL Open in 2009, where he set a record.
- The Worldwide Holdings Selangor Masters in 2014. He won this tournament in a "playoff," which is like extra time in a game to decide the winner.
