Charlie Rasmussen Gjedde (born on December 28, 1979, in Holstebro, Denmark) is a former professional motorcycle speedway rider. He is famous for winning the Speedway World Cup with the Danish team in 2006. Charlie Gjedde represented Denmark 11 times in international competitions.

Charlie Gjedde's Speedway Career
Charlie Gjedde started his speedway journey early. He became the Danish Under-21 Champion in 1995. This was a big achievement for a young rider.
International Racing
Charlie Gjedde began racing for Denmark in the Speedway World Cup in 2002. He also got to be a reserve rider three times in the Speedway Grand Prix series. This series features the best speedway riders in the world.
Racing in Great Britain
Charlie Gjedde first rode in Britain for the Swindon Robins team in 1998. The next year, in 1999, he joined the Coventry Bees on loan. In 2003, he helped the Swindon team win the Premier League Four-Team Championship. This important race took place at the Abbey Stadium.
He also rode for the Belle Vue Aces in the Elite League. He was with them in 2008, 2009, and 2011.
Racing in Denmark
In 2010, Charlie Gjedde rode for the Outrup team in the Danish Speedway League. He continued to be a strong rider in his home country.
