Charles Patrick Tully (born July 11, 1924 – died July 27, 1971) was a famous football player and manager from Northern Ireland. He is best known for playing as a midfielder for Celtic, one of Scotland's biggest football clubs. Charlie was known for his amazing skills and exciting style of play, which made him a favorite with fans.

Playing for Top Clubs
Charlie Tully started his football career in his home city of Belfast. He played for Belfast Celtic from 1944 to 1948. During this time, he also had a short loan spell at Cliftonville.
In 1948, Charlie made a big move to Celtic in Scotland. He played for them for 11 years, until 1959. He played 216 games for Celtic and scored 32 goals. After his time at Celtic, he played for Cork Hibernians in Ireland.
Charlie also represented his country, playing for the Northern Ireland national team. He played 10 international games between 1948 and 1958, scoring 3 goals.
Becoming a Manager
After his playing days, Charlie Tully became a football manager. He managed Bangor twice, first from 1964 to 1965, and then again from 1968 to 1971. He also managed Portadown in 1965.
As a manager, Charlie helped Bangor achieve a big success. He led them to win their first major trophy, the County Antrim Shield, in 1970. He also managed the Irish League XI team, leading them to a 5–2 victory against the Scottish League XI in 1969.
