Choc Nut (also spelled Choc⋆Nut) is a very popular candy bar from the Philippines. It's made by a company called Annie's Sweets Manufacturing and Packaging Corporation. This yummy treat is made with peanuts, sugar, milk powder, cocoa powder, and vanilla. It has been a favorite snack for kids and adults in the Philippines for many years.
Even though Choc Nut is mostly made in the Philippines, you can often find it in Asian supermarkets and Filipino stores around the world. Many restaurants and cafes in the Philippines also use Choc Nut. They add it to desserts, drinks, and even special cocktails!
The Story of Choc Nut
Choc Nut was first made by a company called New Unity Sweets Manufacturing Corporation. This company was located in a place called Malabon in the Philippines.
In 2013, the Choc Nut brand got a new owner. Annie's Manufacturing and Packaging Corporation took over. This is interesting because Annie's also makes Hany, which is another popular candy similar to Choc Nut!
A few years later, in 2018, Choc Nut started making a new product. They created a sweet chocolate peanut spread. It tastes just like the candy bar!
How Choc Nut is Packaged
Choc Nut candy bars come in different sized packages. You can find "King" packages or "SP" packages.
The "King" package has 24 small bars inside. Each of these bars weighs 8 grams. The "SP" package has 16 slightly larger bars. Each bar in this package weighs 16 grams.
Every single Choc Nut bar is wrapped individually. It has a special paper-backed foil and an outer film. This outer film shows the Choc Nut logo and its famous red stripes. The main packages are a bronze color with white and red lines going across them.
