The museum showed many interesting things about how chocolate has been made over time. You could see old pottery and knives that people used to make chocolate, going all the way back to the Maya people around 3500 BC! Chocolate Demonstrations and Tastings
Visitors could watch live demonstrations of how chocolate is made. They showed how yummy bon bons (small chocolates) are created. You could also learn how traditional Mexican hot chocolate is prepared. And yes, there were tastings too!
Fun for Kids

They could also imagine they were running their own chocolate store and kitchen. For older kids and adults, there were even hands-on classes to learn more about chocolate making.
How the Museum Started
The idea for Choco-Story New York came from a person named Eddy Van Belle. He had already opened similar chocolate museums called Choco-Story in other countries like Belgium, France, and Mexico. This New York museum was the fifth one he helped create.
Eddy Van Belle shared his idea with Jacques Torres, who is often called "Mr. Chocolate." Together, they brought the museum to life in New York City.

Choco-Story New York opened its doors on March 7, 2017. It welcomed many visitors who loved learning about chocolate. However, the museum closed on March 1, 2019.
