Christopher Williams, known by his cool artist name ChrisCross, is an American comic book artist. He is famous for drawing many popular comic series. ChrisCross has worked on comics like Blood Syndicate and Heroes for Milestone Comics. He also drew Captain Marvel and Slingers for Marvel Comics. For DC Comics, he worked on Firestorm. He even helped create the comic book character Jason Rusch with writer Dan Jolley.
Becoming a Comic Artist
ChrisCross went to the School of Visual Arts in New York City in the early 1990s. This is a special school where artists learn their craft. While he was still studying, he got his first big chance to work in comics.
Drawing for Milestone Comics
His first major job was with Milestone Comics. This was a special part of DC Comics that wanted to create new stories. Milestone Comics aimed to show more diverse characters and stories. They wanted to reach a wider group of readers.
Working with Big Publishers
After his start, ChrisCross continued to draw for many well-known comic companies. He drew for other series at DC Comics, like Firestorm and The Outsiders. In the early 2000s, he also worked on graphic novels. These were for an international publisher called Humanoids, Inc.. Later, he returned to drawing American comics. He started working on Midnighter #11.
