Christina Lewis Halpern is an American social entrepreneur, investor, helper of others, and writer. She works to make a positive difference in the world through her businesses and projects.

Early Life and Education

Christina Lewis was born around 1980. She grew up in New York City with her parents and sister. Her father, Reginald F. Lewis, was a very important person on Wall Street. He was the first African American to own a company worth a billion dollars in the United States. Her mother, Loida Nicolas Lewis, is a businesswoman from the Philippines. After her husband passed away, she became the leader of his company, TLC Beatrice.

Christina went to Harvard University. She graduated in 2002. She studied French and American History Literature there.

What Christina Does

Christina Lewis has started several important organizations. She uses her skills to help communities and support new ideas.

Helping Families with Money

In June 2024, Christina started Beatrice Advisors. This company helps families manage their money and investments. It is special because it is the first company of its kind owned by a Black woman.

Supporting Black Causes

In 2020, Christina founded Giving Gap. This is a well-known online platform. It has helped send millions of dollars to groups and projects that support Black communities across the United States.

Teaching Tech Skills

In 2013, she started All Star Code. This non-profit organization teaches computer science to young boys of color. It helps them learn important tech skills. Early in her career, Christina was a journalist. She wrote for the Wall Street Journal for five years. She also worked as a reporter in Stamford, Connecticut.
