Claire Healy was born in Melbourne, Australia. She met Sean Cordeiro when they were both studying art at the University of New South Wales in 1997. They started making art together in 2001. Both artists also went on to get their Master of Fine Arts degrees in 2004.

Claire and Sean were part of a group that started their own art space in Sydney called Imperial Slacks. This space was open from 1999 to 2003. It was a place where artists could show their work. Today, Claire and Sean live in the beautiful Blue Mountains.
