About Clara Roquet
Clara Roquet was born in 1988 in Catalonia, Spain. She went to college at Pompeu Fabra University and Columbia University. There she learned a lot about making films.
Her Start in Filmmaking
Clara began her career as a writer. She helped write the movie 10,000 km. This was her first big film project. After that, she wrote many other movies. Some of these include Petra (2018), The Days to Come (2019), and Costa Brava, Lebanon (2021). She also wrote Creatura (2023), Something Is About to Happen (2023), and The Red Virgin (2024).
Directing Her Own Stories
Clara Roquet also directs films. Her first movie as a director was the drama Libertad, released in 2021. This film was very popular and won several awards.
In 2023, she finished directing a TV series for Disney+. This series, called Past Lies, is based on a book by Elia Barceló. It tells the story of a group of women who find out what happened to a friend who disappeared many years ago.
