In 1907, Dude Lytle joined a new team. This team was called the St. Paul Colored Gophers. He played alongside another great pitcher, Johnny Davis. A newspaper from St. Paul wrote about them that year. It mentioned that both Lytle and Davis had pitched no-hitter games. A no-hitter is when a pitcher plays a whole game without letting the other team get any hits. This is a very rare and impressive achievement in baseball.

Dude Lytle played his last known season in 1911. He was still with the St. Paul Colored Gophers then. He passed away in Chicago, Illinois, on March 4, 1937. He was 57 years old.
