Clay Harper is a talented musician and a successful business owner from Atlanta, Georgia. He is well-known for being the lead singer and songwriter for the band the Coolies. He also helped start popular restaurant chains like Fellini's Pizza and La Fonda Latina. He later created his own barbecue restaurant chain called The Greater Good.

Clay Harper's Life and Music

Clay Harper began his music journey in the 1980s. He helped create a band called the Coolies. Later, in the 1990s, he started another band named Ottoman Empire. A famous journalist named Daniel Pearl was once a member of this band. During the 1990s, Clay also released two music albums. One was a solo album, and the other was with his brother, Mark. These albums came out on his own record label, Casino Music. In 2012, Clay Harper also published a children's book. It was called Are You Sure That Was a Rabbit?.

Building a Restaurant Business

Clay Harper is also a very successful restaurateur. In 1982, he teamed up with Mike Nelson. Together, they started Fellini's Pizza. This pizza place became very popular. They also co-founded La Fonda Latina. This restaurant often opens right next to a Fellini's Pizza.

Later, in the summer of 2010, Clay started a frozen yogurt chain. He called it Three on the Tree. In 2012, he opened his first barbecue restaurant. It was in Tucker, Georgia. This was the start of his barbecue chain, The Greater Good.
