Clementina Arderiu (born in Barcelona in 1889 – died in 1976) was an important Spanish poet. She wrote her beautiful poems in the Catalan language.

Her writing was inspired by other great Catalan writers. One key influence was Josep Carner. Her husband, the poet Carles Riba, also greatly shaped her work.

Clementina Arderiu's poems often made daily life seem special. She found beauty in simple, everyday things. Her words helped readers see the wonder in ordinary moments.

Clementina Arderiu's Published Works

Clementina Arderiu wrote many collections of poems throughout her life. Here are some of her well-known books:

  • Cançons i elegies, published in 1916
  • L'alta llibertat, published in 1920
  • Poemes, published in 1936
  • Sempre i ara, published in 1946, which won the Joaquim Folguera prize
  • Poesies completes, a collection of all her poems, published in 1952
  • És a dir, published in 1968, which won both the Óssa Menor prize and the Lletra d'Or prize
  • L’esperança encara, published in 1968
