The show was hosted by Paul McGuire. He later became a host on CMT. Paul was joined by several co-hosts. These included Krista Herman, Sarah Freudeman, Liza Fromer, and Shaun Majumder. Many of them also worked on Video & Arcade Top 10. Just like V&A, Clips was filmed in front of a live audience. This took place in Toronto, Ontario.

How to Play Clips
Clips was a game where four contestants answered questions. The questions were about movies, TV shows, and music. Sometimes, they were even about sports.
Starting the Game
At the beginning of each round, a co-host like Liza Fromer or Shaun Majumder would share facts. These facts were about pop culture topics. They would show short video clips related to the questions.
Answering Questions
The host, Paul McGuire, would ask a "jump in" question. The first contestant to buzz in got a chance to answer. If they answered correctly, they earned one "Clips" star. They then got a chance to earn more stars.
Earning More Stars
After getting a star, the contestant could choose one of four colored stations. These colors were Purple, Red, Green, or Blue. A co-host at that station would play another clip. Then, they would ask a question about that clip. If the contestant answered correctly, they earned more stars. If they answered incorrectly, they had to go back to their podium. A new "jump in" question would then be asked for all contestants.
Winning a Round
Each game round lasted three minutes. The contestant with the most "Clips" stars won a prize. They also won a prize for a home player. If there was a tie, one more question was asked. The person who answered it correctly won the round.
The Big Wheel Round
Three rounds were played in each episode. Each round had four different contestants. A different prize was offered in each round. The contestant who won their round and had the most "Clips" stars overall moved on. They got to play in the "Big Wheel Round." This round gave them a chance to win the grand prize.
Spinning the Wheel
In the Big Wheel Round, the winner spun a large wheel. The wheel had eight colored spaces. Each color appeared twice. Wherever the wheel stopped, a clip would play from that colored station. If the contestant answered the final question correctly, they won the grand prize!
