Coddingville is a small, quiet place in Medina County, Ohio, in the United States. It is known as an unincorporated community. This means it's a group of homes and businesses that are not officially a city or town with its own local government. Instead, it's part of the larger county.

History

The story of Coddingville began a long time ago, in 1817. This was when the very first people decided to settle there. These early residents were called "pioneer settlers." They moved to new areas to build homes and start a new life.

The community was named after one of these important pioneers, a person named Burt Codding. He helped start the settlement.

Later, in 1850, Coddingville even had its own post office. A post office is where people send and receive letters and packages. It was an important place for connecting with others. This post office served the community for about 15 years, closing down in 1865.
