Cole Seely (born March 10, 1990) is an American professional motocross racer. He is known for his skills in both Supercross and AMA Motocross Championship events. Cole raced for the factory Honda team during a significant part of his career.

Cole Seely's Racing Journey
Cole Seely started his professional racing career in 2005. He quickly became a rider to watch in the exciting world of motocross. Motocross is a type of off-road motorcycle racing. Riders compete on challenging dirt tracks with jumps and turns.
Early Career and 250cc Racing
From 2009 to 2014, Cole Seely competed in the 250cc class. This class is for motorcycles with engines up to 250 cubic centimeters. In 2011, he showed great promise. He finished fourth overall in the 250cc Western Region Supercross Championship. He also placed 14th in the 250cc Motocross Championship. At this time, he was riding for HRC Honda.
In 2014, Cole had a very strong year. He was the runner-up in the 250SX Class Western Regional Championship. This means he finished second overall in that series.
Moving Up to 450cc
In 2015, Cole Seely made a big step in his career. He moved up to the 450cc class. This class features more powerful motorcycles with engines up to 450 cubic centimeters. He joined the factory Honda team for his rookie season. A "rookie" is a first-year professional.
Cole had an impressive first year in the 450cc class. He was named the Monster Energy Supercross Rookie of the Year in 2015. This award recognizes the best new rider in the Supercross series.
Later Career and Team USA
Cole continued to compete at the highest level. In 2017, he had another solid season. He finished seventh in the Supercross standings. He also placed fifth in the Motocross Championship.
His strong performance in 2017 earned him a special honor. Cole was chosen to be part of the Motocross des Nations US team. The Motocross des Nations is a big international team competition. Riders from different countries race against each other. It's often called the "Olympics of Motocross." Cole Seely retired from professional racing on August 1, 2019.
