The College of Menominee Nation (often called CMN) is a special kind of college. It's a private college run by the Menominee Nation. This college helps students learn and grow. It has its main campus in Keshena, Wisconsin. There is also another campus in Green Bay, Wisconsin, close to the Oneida Nation of Wisconsin reservation. CMN is one of only two tribal colleges in Wisconsin.

How the College Started

The Menominee Tribal Legislature officially created CMN in 1993. Classes began in the spring of that same year. By August 7, 1998, the college received full accreditation. This means it met high standards for education. In 1994, CMN was also named a land-grant college. This special title helps the college get support for its programs.

Where is the College?

CMN has two main locations. The main campus is in Wisconsin. It is located on the southern edge of the Menominee Indian Reservation. The second campus is in Green Bay, Wisconsin. This campus is important for students from the Oneida Nation.

What Can You Study?

As of August 2014, CMN offered many different programs. Students could choose from 25 degrees and certificates. A "degree" is what you earn after finishing a program. A "certificate" shows you have learned a specific skill. Some programs let students transfer credits to other Wisconsin colleges. This means their hard work at CMN can count towards a degree elsewhere.
