Where Did the Name Come From?

The name "Colonial Clash" was chosen on August 18, 2010. This was just two months before a big game. It was the first college football game ever played at Gillette Stadium. This stadium is home to the New England Patriots.

Robert Kraft owns Gillette Stadium. He said the name was perfect. It fits a rivalry between schools from two original American colonies. The game was planned to be held at this professional stadium in 2010 and 2011.

Exciting Games and a Special Trophy

UMass and UNH have played each other every year since 1952. UMass has won more games overall. They have a record of 43 wins, 26 losses, and 3 ties.
