Cooter's Place, also known as Cooter's, is a group of three museums in the United States. These museums show off cool items from the American TV show The Dukes of Hazzard. The museums are named after Cooter Davenport, a fun character from the show.
The museums are run by Ben Jones, who played Cooter himself!

Who is Cooter Davenport?
Cooter Davenport is the character the museums are named after. He was the mechanic in Hazzard County, where The Dukes of Hazzard TV show takes place. When the show first started, Cooter was known for being very energetic and sometimes broke rules. Because of this, his nickname on the CB was "Crazy Cooter."
However, Cooter became more calm and easy-going later in the first season. He owns a repair shop called "Cooter's Garage." This garage is right across from the Hazzard County Sheriffs' Department.
Exploring Cooter's Museums
Cooter's Place offers fans a chance to see famous vehicles and items from The Dukes of Hazzard. Each museum has unique displays.
Cooter's in Pigeon Forge, TN
This location is officially called "Cooter's (Place in) Gatlinburg." However, it moved to the nearby town of Pigeon Forge in 2019. The Gatlinburg location closed when this move happened.
The Pigeon Forge museum is a shop and museum. It displays a few General Lee (car) cars and Daisy's Jeep. The original Gatlinburg location also had a mini-golf course and go-karts, but these are not at the Pigeon Forge site.
Cooter's in Luray, VA
The Luray location of Cooter's moved from Sperryville in 2017. This museum features Daisy's Diner, which is a place from the show. Daisy Duke is the cousin of Bo, Luke, Coy, and Vance in The Dukes of Hazzard.
You can also see Cooter's tow truck, often called "the wrecker," and a replica of Cooter's garage. Another famous General Lee car is also on display here.
Cooter's in Nashville, TN
The Nashville location of Cooter's also has some exciting vehicles. Visitors can see Cooter's tow truck, Daisy's Jeep, and Rosco's patrol car. Like the other locations, this museum also features a General Lee car.
