Coro Coro (in Aymara, Kuru Kuru) is a small town in Bolivia. It is located in the La Paz Department. Coro Coro is the main town of the Coro Coro Municipality. This municipality is the first section of the Pacajes Province.
Coro Coro was once a very important mining town. It was famous for its rich copper deposits. The town was home to the Corocoro United Copper Mines. However, things changed after 1985. The mining center closed down. Many workers left the area. Since then, the town's growth has slowed down a lot.
