About Cosmo Pyke
Cosmo Pyke was born in Peckham, a part of Southeast London. He went to a special school called The Brit School for Performing Arts. Many famous musicians, like Adele and Amy Winehouse, also went to this school.
Music Journey
Cosmo's first collection of songs, an EP titled Just Cosmo, came out in 2017. He worked with producer Fraser T. Smith on this project. The EP included popular songs like 'Wish You Were Gone' and 'Chronic Sunshine'.
Music critics liked his unique sound. The Guardian described his music as a mix of jazz, reggae, and indie styles. New Music and Tours
In late 2020, Cosmo released a new song called 'A Piper For Janet'. This song was the title track for his next EP, which came out in January 2021. He released this music through his own label, Pykrete Records. The EP included songs like 'Filet Mignon' and 'Railroad Tracks'. Cosmo wrote these songs while traveling and performing in places like South America and Asia.
In 2021, Cosmo was invited to perform an acoustic set in Denmark for the Brodie Sessions. This performance was released in January 2022.
On March 29, 2023, Cosmo released 'Curser's Lament' as a single. Fans had been waiting for this song since a demo version appeared online years before. The full Curser's Lament EP was released on May 5, 2023. It featured songs such as 'No Comply' and 'What Can I Do?'. After this, Cosmo went on his first headline tour across the UK in May 2023.
In 2024, Cosmo continued to release new music. He released the single 'Outlaw' in January and 'Low' in February. 'Low' is the title track of his latest EP. Cosmo shared that 'Low' was a special song for his fans, who had loved it during his live shows years ago. In April 2024, he went on his first headline European tour, ending with a big show in London.
