What is Creepy Crawlers About?
The show follows a "normal kid" named Chris Carter. Chris loves magic. He works at a magic shop owned by Professor Googengrime. One day, Chris builds a cool device called "The Magic Maker."
During a special event called the Magical Millennium Moment, cosmic energy hits the shop. This energy makes the Magic Maker create strange, human-sized bug-like creatures. These creatures are also part magic tricks!
Three friendly creatures are made that night: Hocus Locust, Volt Jolt, and T-3. Googengrime calls them "Goop-Mandos." Chris and the Goop-Mandos escape, but Googengrime keeps the Magic Maker.
In each episode, Professor Googengrime tries to use the Magic Maker. He creates evil "Crime Grime" monsters. His goal is to take over the world. Chris and the Goop-Mandos must stop him. They also try to get the Magic Maker back.
As the show goes on, more Goop-Mandos are created. A girl named Sammy Reynolds also joins their team.
The Goop-Mandos need to recharge after their missions. They hang upside-down in Chris's closet. Chris's older brother, Todd, is often suspicious of the strange things happening. When the Goop-Mandos need to travel, they borrow Todd's dune buggy. They use "Goop" to turn it into the "Crawler Cruiser." The villains have a similar vehicle called the Bug-Eyed Bomber.
In Season Two, Googengrime creates "Super Goop." He wants to destroy the Goop-Mandos. But it backfires! The Goop-Mandos change colors and get new, stronger powers.
Who are the Characters?
The Goop-Mandos
- Chris Carter – He created the Magic Maker. Chris and his Goop-Mandos fight Professor Googengrime. They want to stop him from taking over the world.
- Samantha "Sammy" Reynolds – Sammy is a brave and smart friend of Chris. She often helps save the day. She sometimes gets annoyed when villains (or even heroes) ignore her because she's a girl.
- Volt Jolt – He is one of the first three Goop-Mandos. Volt Jolt was made from a light bulb. He looks like a lightning bug. He wears lightning-shaped shades. He can shoot electricity to zap enemies.
- T-3 – His full name is Tick Trick Tick. T-3 was made from a pack of cards. He is based on a tick. He is the biggest and strongest of the original Goop-Mandos. He can shoot card-like darts very fast and accurately. He also has a tiny friend named T-Flea.
- Hocus Locust – He was made from rope tricks and looks like a locust. Hocus Locust is the funny one in the group. He loves to joke around. He has rope wrapped around his body. He can control the rope to attack or for other uses. He is the only Goop-Mando with four arms. After their upgrade, his ropes become sharp nylon cords.
- Sting Ring – He was made from connecting rings and looks like a wasp. Sting Ring was created by accident. He can throw his rings with great force. His rings can knock out or cut enemies. He can also give the group wings to fly. After their upgrade, his rings can explode and do many new things.
- Commantis – He was made from kung fu and samurai movie tapes. He looks like a mantis. Commantis is noble, like a samurai. He carries two samurai swords. He can slice opponents and throw his voice. After their upgrade, he can blend into his surroundings.
- T-4 – In Season Two, Googengrime accidentally created T-3's "little brother," T-4. T-4 has four heads. He is stronger than T-3 but not as smart.
- Fire Eyes – He was made from chilies and hot sauce. He looks like a firefly. Fire Eyes was created to fight an ice monster. He can shoot heat beams from his eyes. These beams can instantly melt things.
