A Cubelets robot

Cubelets are a line of construction toys manufactured by Modular Robotics. The Cubelets are small color coded cubes that people magnetically stick together to form a variety of simple robots, a kind of modular robot.

The cubes connect with magnets and a genderless connector.

Cubelets modules

Each M-Block cubelet module can move in four cardinal directions when placed on any one of the six faces using something called gyroscopic inertial thruster "inertial forces". Cubes can move horizontally, vertically, jump with the performance of acrobatic stunts in the air. All this is due to the flywheel, which rotates at a speed of 20 thousand revolutions per minute. A barcode-like system allows them to identity each other (owing to a system reading a bar code and warning lights of the faces on each of them)
