Cyrus started his journey in soccer at a young age. He played for different teams, showing his talent for scoring goals.
Scoring Goals and Winning Awards
In 2015, Cyrus played for the Toronto FC Academy team in a league called League1 Ontario. He was very good at scoring goals, finishing fourth in the league with fourteen goals.
The next year, in 2016, he continued to score for Toronto FC III. He also played in another league, the Premier Development League.
In 2017, Cyrus had an amazing season. He scored seventeen goals in seventeen games for Toronto FC III. This made him one of the top scorers in the league. Because of his great performance, he was named the 2017 League1 Ontario Young Player of the Year. This award recognized him as one of the best young players in the league.
Playing in the Canadian Premier League
In 2018, Cyrus joined another League1 Ontario team called Master's Futbol. He scored three goals in six games for them.
A big step in his career came in 2019. Cyrus signed with York9 FC, a team in the new Canadian Premier League. This was a professional league, meaning players get paid to play.
On April 27, 2019, Cyrus played his first professional game for York9. It was the very first match in the Canadian Premier League's history! He played nine games in the league that year. He also played in two games for the Canadian Championship.
After his time with York9, Cyrus continued to play. In 2021, he joined Blue Devils FC in League1 Ontario. He scored two goals in his very first game for them.
In 2022, Cyrus played for Scrosoppi FC, also in League1 Ontario. Later that year, he got a chance to play for his old team, York United FC (which was previously York9 FC). He joined them on loan and played in two games.
Playing for Canada
Cyrus also had the chance to represent his country. In December 2014, he was called to join the Canadian national under-17 team. This meant he was one of the best young players in Canada.
He played for Canada in the 2015 CONCACAF U-17 Championship. This is a big tournament for young players from North and Central America. Cyrus played in games against teams from Mexico and Costa Rica.
