Discover the Díaz Inguanzo Palace
The Díaz Inguanzo Palace is a special building with a unique design. It has a tall central tower that stands out. This tower has three floors. On each side of the tower, there are two sections that are shorter, with two floors each.
What Does the Palace Look Like?
The central tower has a pointed roof. Near the top, you can see pairs of windows. Right at the very top, there is a shield. This shield shows the family crest of the Inguanzo family, who owned the palace.
On the ground floor of the tower, there is a balcony. This balcony hangs over the main door. The stone above the door, called the lintel, has a special date carved into it: 1898. This tells us when a part of the palace was built or finished.
The two sections on either side of the tower look a bit different from each other. The section on the right has tall windows between its two floors. However, the section on the left does not have these same tall windows. This makes the palace interesting to look at.
Special Features Inside
Inside the palace, there is an old machine called a cider press. A cider press is used to squeeze apples to make cider, a popular drink in this region of Spain. This shows that the palace might have been part of a farm or estate that produced cider.
Since 1994, the Díaz Inguanzo Palace has been recognized as a historic monument. This means it is an important building that is protected because of its history and architecture.
