Dagmar, Montana facts for kids
Dagmar is a small, quiet place in northeastern Montana, United States. It's known as an "unincorporated community," which means it doesn't have its own local government like a city or town. Instead, it's part of a larger county area called Sheridan County.
The Story of Dagmar
Dagmar was started in 1906 by brave Danish immigrants. These families traveled a long way to build new lives in this part of America. They worked hard to create a community together.
Life in Dagmar
Even though it's a small place, Dagmar still has a few important spots. You can find a general store there, which is a bit like a small supermarket. There's also a post office, which has been helping people send and receive mail since 1907.
Dagmar used to have its own school, where kids from the area learned and played. However, that school closed its doors in 1996.
