Daisuke Miyakawa (宮川 大輔, Miyakawa Daisuke, born October 6, 1979) is a former Japanese football player. He played as a forward, which means he was usually trying to score goals for his team.
Daisuke Miyakawa's Football Journey
Daisuke Miyakawa was born in Atsugi, Kanagawa on October 6, 1979. After finishing high school, he joined a big football club called Cerezo Osaka in 1998. This team played in the J1 League, which is the top professional football league in Japan.
He made his first professional appearance on May 22, 1999. It was a very exciting debut because he scored a goal against JEF United Ichihara! However, that was his only game for Cerezo Osaka before he left the club in 2001.
In 2002, Daisuke moved to a team called Thespa Kusatsu. This team was in a lower league at the time, the Prefectural Leagues. He played a lot more games there. His team worked hard and kept getting promoted to higher leagues! They moved up to the Regional Leagues in 2003, then to the Japan Football League (JFL) in 2004, and finally reached the J2 League in 2005. The J2 League is the second-highest professional league in Japan.
In 2006, Daisuke joined another team, New Wave Kitakyushu (which later changed its name to Giravanz Kitakyushu). He was a regular player for this team too. Just like with his previous club, this team also climbed up the leagues! They were promoted to the JFL in 2008 and then to the J2 League in 2010.
After 2010, Daisuke didn't play as much. In 2012, he moved to SC Sagamihara, a team in the Regional Leagues. He played for one season there before deciding to retire from professional football at the end of 2012.
Throughout his career, Daisuke Miyakawa played in 148 official league games and scored 52 goals.
