Daniel Fletcher (born 16 August 1974 – died 4 October 2015) was an Australian rules footballer. He played for the Geelong Cats in the Australian Football League (AFL). The AFL is Australia's biggest football league.

Daniel played in the 1994 AFL season. He was picked by Geelong from the Geelong Falcons team. This happened in the 1993 Pre-season Draft. His brother, Simon Fletcher, also played in the AFL for the Carlton Blues.

Playing in the AFL

Daniel Fletcher began his football journey with the Geelong Falcons. This team plays in the TAC Cup, a competition for young players. He was chosen by the Geelong Cats in the 1993 Pre-season Draft. This was the 61st pick overall.

He played one game for Geelong in the 1994 AFL season. After this, he was no longer part of the Geelong team.

Coaching Career

After his time as an AFL player, Daniel became a coach. He coached the St Mary's team. This team plays in the Geelong Football League (GFL).

He coached St Mary's from 2007 to 2011. In 2008, he led the team to win a Premiership. A Premiership means they won the league championship.

Later Life

Daniel Fletcher passed away in October 2015. He was 41 years old. He died in Lorne, Victoria.
