Daniel "Danny" Inglis (born May 28, 1948 – died December 1, 2023) was a professional darts player from Scotland. He was known for playing in the British Darts Organisation (BDO) during the 1970s and 1980s. Darts is a sport where players throw small pointed missiles, called darts, at a circular target board.

Danny Inglis's Darts Career
Danny Inglis started his professional darts journey in the 1970s. He became a well-known player in the British Darts Organisation, which was a major darts organization at the time.
Playing in Big Tournaments
Danny Inglis made his first appearance in a very important competition called the 1984 BDO World Darts Championship. This is one of the biggest events in darts. In his first match, he played against Kexi Heinäharju from Finland. Danny lost this match by a score of 2-1 in sets.
Before playing in the World Championship, Danny had shown his skills in another big event. In 1983, he reached the quarter-finals of the British Professional tournament. To get there, he beat some strong players. He won against Tony Brown, who had reached the semi-finals of the World Championship. He also defeated Tony Skuse, a former champion of the Gold Cup.
Facing a Darts Legend
After these wins, Danny Inglis played against a very famous darts player, John Lowe. John Lowe was a three-time World Champion, meaning he had won the biggest darts tournament three times. Danny lost his match against John Lowe.
Later Years in Darts
Danny Inglis decided to leave the British Darts Organisation in 1986. Even after leaving the BDO, he continued to play darts. He enjoyed playing in local darts leagues in his hometown area of Fife, Scotland.
