For people who buy art, Darmo Art helps young people start their own art collections. They also introduce new and exciting artists to people who already collect art. Alexis de Bernede and Marius Jacob-Gismondi love art and want to help more people enjoy it. They also want to make it easier to collect different kinds of art. Because of this, Darmo Art held art shows in 2018 and 2019. These shows were at the famous Galerie Gismondi in Paris.
For artists, Darmo Art supports young, talented people. They often work with artists who are still studying. The company picks the best new talents. Many of these artists haven't shown their work to the public yet. Darmo Art helps these young artists connect with art collectors and fans. They help artists become well-known and plan their careers for a long time. This help happens both online and offline, so artists can reach many people. Experts in the art world give advice to the artists. They help artists set goals and grow their careers.
Darmo Art has two main parts:
- The Gallery: This part shows art by new artists. They do this through special pop-up shows in cool places around Europe.
- Art Advisory: This part builds strong, lasting relationships with clients. Darmo Art helps people create and grow their art collections.
Darmo Art uses its knowledge and a special group of art dealers, advisors, and partners. They work to make sure everyone benefits: the gallery, the artists, and all the collectors and partners.
Exhibitions
MÉTAMORPHOSES (April 2018)
Métamorphoses was the first art show by Darmo Art. It took place at the well-known Galerie Gismondi. The show featured two young artists, Raf Reyes and Pauline d'Andigné. More than 400 art fans, art experts, journalists, and collectors came to see it. All the unique artworks shown at this exhibition were sold.
SYMBIOSES (September 2019)
Symbioses also happened at the Galerie Gismondi in September 2019. This show featured four modern artists: Raf Reyes, Oussama Garti, Swann Ronné, and Pauline d'Andigné. The exhibition used all 500 square meters of the gallery space. Over 1,000 visitors came to see it in just four days.
For this show, Darmo Art worked with Spanish fashion designer Maria Bernad. They also hosted a fashion show for Les Fleurs Studio during Paris Fashion Week in September 2019. Darmo Art and Les Fleurs Studio made a book about the exhibition. All the money from selling this book went to Epic Foundation, a charity. Also, the sound system for the show was made with Bang & Olufsen.
Besides these big shows, Darmo Art also works with others on many events all year. In 2019, Darmo Art teamed up with French TV channel France 2 and the Drouot auction house. They organized an art auction to help a charity called AFM-Telethon. Darmo Art gave artworks by Raf Reyes and Oussama Garti. They helped raise a total of 300,000€ for the charity through the auction.
Other partnerships include art shows and parties at the Salvatore Ferragamo store in Paris. They also help artists show their work in places like museums and foundations.
