Darnell, Ohio facts for kids
Darnell is a small, undeveloped area in Champaign County, Ohio, in the United States. It's known as an "unincorporated community." This means it's a place where people live, but it doesn't have its own local government like a city or a village. Instead, it's part of the larger county.
History of Darnell
Darnell was first planned and settled in 1893. It was named after a person, Mr. Darnell, who helped create the community. A few years later, in 1899, Darnell even had its own post office! This was important because it meant people could send and receive mail right there. However, the post office didn't stay open for very long and was closed in 1901.
