David Biedrzycki was born in 1955 in Taylor, Pennsylvania. He went to Kutztown University to study art. After graduating in 1980, he started his career as an illustrator. Before he began creating children's books, David worked in advertising. He designed many labels for food products. Today, David lives in Massachusetts with his wife, Kathy. They have three children named Justin, Alec, and Julia.
