David Dominic Harris was born in New York City on June 18, 1949. He went to the High School of Performing Arts. This school helps young people learn about acting. His first acting job was in a TV movie in 1976. It was called Judge Horton and the Scottsboro Boys. He played a character named Haywood Patterson.
After that, David Harris had many smaller roles. He kept working hard in different movies and TV shows.
His Most Famous Role
In 1979, David Harris got a role that made him famous. He played Cochise in the movie The Warriors. This movie was about different groups, called gangs, in New York City. His character, Cochise, was a young member of the Warriors group. People still remember him for this role today.
