David Anthony Mann Sr. (born August 7, 1966) is a talented American actor and gospel singer. He is well-known for his funny character, Mr. Brown, in many plays and movies by Tyler Perry. Mr. Brown is the father of Cora, who is played by David Mann's real-life wife, Tamela Mann.
David Mann was born in Fort Worth, Texas. He has been married to Tamela Mann since 1988. Before working with Tyler Perry, both David and Tamela were part of a gospel music group called "The Family," led by Kirk Franklin. In 2018, David and Tamela recorded a romantic album together called Us Against the World.
