Davide Cali (born in 1972) is a talented writer from Italy. He was born in Switzerland. He writes many picture books and graphic novels, mostly for kids and young adults. His books are super popular! They have been published in 25 different countries and translated into many languages. He sometimes uses other names like Taro Miyazawa and Daikon for his writing.

About Davide Cali

Davide Cali grew up in Italy, even though he was born in Liestal, Switzerland. He started his career writing comic books. Later, he began writing books for children in 1998. His first books came out in Italy. Since 2004, his books have also been published in France.

Today, Davide Cali has written more than 90 books! These books have been translated into over 30 languages. Imagine how many kids around the world read his stories!

Davide Cali also teaches classes about illustration. He has taught at different schools in Italy and other parts of Europe. He even helped create a guide called "Cari autori vediamoci chiaro." This guide gives tips and advice to people who want to become professional illustrators. It was given out for free to help new artists.

He has been part of many art shows. Some shows were based on his books and were put on in France, Belgium, Italy, and Japan. Since 2016, he has been an art director at Book on a Tree. This is a special agency that helps storytellers.
