Deavertown is a small place in Morgan County, Ohio, in the United States. It's called an unincorporated community, which means it's a group of homes and businesses that isn't officially a city or town with its own local government.
The Story of Deavertown: How It Began
Deavertown was first planned out in 1815. It was named after Levi Deaver, who was one of the first two brothers to settle in this area.
In 1840, Levi Deaver's daughter, Matilda, married Daniel Rusk, who would later become a doctor. The community also had its own post office, which opened in 1828. This post office helped people send and receive mail for many years, until it closed in 1957.
