Diana Amft was born on November 7, 1975. She is a German actress who works in movies and TV shows. She also writes books for children. Many people know her for playing the character Gretchen Haase in the TV comedy series Doctor's Diary on RTL.

About Diana Amft

Diana Amft was born in Gütersloh, Germany. She grew up in a town called Herzebrock-Clarholz. When she was twenty years old, she was accepted into the Schauspielschule Zerboni acting school in Munich. After performing in plays, she started getting roles on television in 1999.

Her Acting Career

Diana Amft became well-known after starring as Inken in the movie Mädchen, Mädchen. This film was very popular, and she also appeared in its sequel, Mädchen, Mädchen 2 – Loft oder Liebe.

In 2002, a movie she starred in, More Ants in the Pants [de], won an award called the Deutscher Comedypreis for best cinema film. She considers her main role in the TV series Doctor’s Diary to be a big moment in her career.

Writing for Children

Between 2010 and 2018, Diana Amft wrote eight children's books. This book series is called Die kleine Spinne Widerlich, which means "The Little Nasty Spider".
