This festival is a bit like the bigger one at Epcot International Food & Wine Festival in Florida. It first started in 2006 and has been a favorite ever since, except for a few breaks.

Festival History
The Food & Wine Festival happened every year from 2006 to 2010. Then, it took a break because the park was getting some big updates. The festival made a grand return in the spring of 2016.
First Festivals: 2006 to 2010
2006 Festival
The very first festival in 2006 had two main food stands. They offered 12 different food items. You could also try various drinks. At the Golden Vine Winery patio, you could watch chefs cook. There were also classes about drinks. Plus, you could buy special festival items.
The main food areas were called Bountiful Valley Farmers Market and Lucky Fortune Cookery.
2010 Festival
The 2010 festival ran daily from April 16 to May 31. Its theme was "The Art of Flavor." This year, there was a "Taste of California Marketplace." It had ten food options. You could also attend drink classes at the Festival Showplace. This area was in the Hollywood Pictures Backlot. Chefs gave cooking demonstrations at the Chef's Showcase Stage. This stage was in Sunshine Plaza. For an extra cost, you could go to special dinners or cooking classes.
Festival Break: 2011 to 2015
The festival did not happen during these years. This was because the park was undergoing major construction projects.
Festival Returns: 2016 Onwards
2016 Festival
The festival came back in a new way in 2016. It ran from April 1 to May 1, but only on weekends. There were eight Festival Marketplace stands. These stands were along the Disney California Adventure parade route. They served many California-inspired foods. Some of the booths included By the Bay, The Brewhouse, and The Farm. You could also pay extra for classes. These classes included famous chefs and drink experts.
2017 Festival
The 2017 festival ran every day from March 10 to April 16. It had even more booths, with fifteen in total! Some new booths included Nuts About Cheese, I Heart Artichokes, and Bacon Twist. There were also booths like Lemon Grove and Seafood... Sustained.
2020 Festival
The 2020 festival started on February 28. It was supposed to end on April 21. However, it closed early on March 13. This happened because the park had to close.
2021 Festival
The festival was cancelled for the spring of 2021. This was also because the park remained closed.
2022 Festival
The 2022 festival began on March 4. It ran until April 26. This year, there were many exciting booths. Some of them were Avocado Time, Berry Patch, and California Craft Brews. Other popular booths included Garlic Kissed and Golden Dreams. The festival also had cooking shows and live music.
2023 Festival
The 2023 festival started in early March. It continued through late April.
