Doddabetta facts for kids
Doddabetta is the tallest mountain peak in the Nilgiri Hills and the state of Tamil Nadu in India. It is also one of the highest peaks in all of South India. This impressive peak is found in the Nilgiris district of Tamil Nadu. The summit is about 9 kilometers (5.6 miles) away from Ooty, which is the main town in the district. Doddabetta stands at a height of 2,637 meters (8,652 feet) above sea level.
