Dolly Style is a super colorful Swedish girl group known for their unique doll-like style! The group was created by Emma Nors and Palle Hammarlund. It features four girls, each with a special character name: Molly, Holly, Polly, and Yolly. Imagine them coming from a magical dollhouse in a place called Dollyville! Their look is inspired by the cute and vibrant "kawaii" style from Japan, which includes fun fashion trends like fairy kei and gyaru. Dolly Style has been a part of Melodifestivalen, Sweden's big music competition, four times. They performed songs like "Hello Hi" in 2015, "Rollercoaster" in 2016, "Habibi" in 2019, and "Yihaa" in 2025.

The Start of Dolly Style's Journey

Dolly Style began in the summer of 2014. It was created by Emma Nors [sv] and Palle Hammarlund [sv]. The group quickly made a splash in the music world.

Their first big appearance was in Melodifestivalen 2015. They performed their catchy song "Hello Hi". They did well enough to reach the "repechage" round, which is like a second chance. However, they didn't make it to the grand final that year.

After their first Melodifestivalen, there was some discussion about their style. Some people thought it looked similar to another group called the Caramella Girls. Dolly Style's team explained that their style was unique.

Over time, some of the girls playing the Dolly Style characters changed. On 5 April 2015, Emma Pucek, who played Polly, left the group. Marielle Myhrberg then took on the role of Polly.

Dolly Style also released new music. In May 2015, they shared their single "Cherry Gum". Later that year, on 16 September, they released another song called "Upsy Daisy". In November 2015, Carolina Magnell left the group. Mikaela Samuelsson became the new Molly.

The group returned to Melodifestivalen in 2016 with their song "Rollercoaster". Like the previous year, they made it to the repechage round. But they didn't qualify for the final.

More changes happened in the group. In August 2016, Marielle Myhrberg (Polly) decided to leave. On 12 September 2016, Sarah von Reis was announced as her replacement. In October 2016, they released another single, "Young and Restless".

In November 2018, Sarah von Reis left the group. Caroline Aronsson then stepped in to play the character of Polly.

Dolly Style competed in Melodifestivalen 2019 with their song "Habibi". They performed in the third heat but did not advance to the final. They finished in fifth place in their heat.

New Adventures and Melodifestivalen Returns

Changes in the group continued in 2019. On 19 June 2019, Mikaela Samuelsson left the group.

Linnea Källström joined Dolly Style in September 2019. She later left in July 2021. Annie Moreau then became a new member in August 2021.

A fun surprise happened on 24 December 2023! Mikaela Samuelsson, who used to play Molly, returned to Dolly Style. This time, she took on the new character of Yolly.

Dolly Style made an exciting comeback to Melodifestivalen in 2025. Their song was "Yihaa". They competed in the third heat of the competition. This time, they qualified for the final through the repechage round! It was a big moment, as it was the first time Dolly Style reached the final. They finished in fifth place in the final on 8 March 2025.
