Don Miguel Ruiz, born Miguel Ángel Ruiz Macías on August 27, 1952, is a well-known Mexican author. He writes about spiritual ideas, especially those inspired by ancient Toltec wisdom. His books help people find personal freedom and happiness. Many people who follow the "New Thought" movement enjoy his work. In 2018, he was even named one of the 100 most spiritually influential living people.

Don Miguel Ruiz grew up in a small town in Mexico. He was the youngest of 13 children. He studied medicine and became a surgeon.
However, a serious car accident changed his life. After this, he decided to focus on sharing ancient spiritual teachings. He learned a lot from his mother and grandfather, who were healers.
His Most Famous Book
His most famous book is The Four Agreements. It was published in 1997 and became a huge success. The book stayed on New York Times bestseller list for over ten years!
The Four Agreements teaches four simple ideas for a happier life:
