Douglas Kearney is an American writer, performer, and teacher. He is well-known for his poetry and for writing stories for operas, which are called librettos. He was born in 1974 and grew up in Altadena, California. His creative work has appeared in many different magazines and journals. He even helped create an opera called Crescent City in 2012, which was very popular. Today, he teaches at the University of Minnesota.
