Dragoslav "Dragan" Nikolić (born August 20, 1943 – died March 11, 2016) was a very famous actor from Yugoslavia and later, Serbia. He was known for his unique acting style and became one of the most loved actors in Serbian movies and TV shows.
Dragan Nikolić studied acting at the Dramatic Arts Academy in Belgrade. In 1967, he got his first big role in the film Kad budem mrtav i beo (When I Am Dead and White). This movie started his amazing career, which lasted for 50 years! He acted in many different types of films and played all sorts of characters.
One of his most famous roles was Prle. Prle was a clever World War II resistance fighter. Dragan played him in the popular TV series Otpisani (The Written Off) and Povratak otpisanih (The Return of the Written Off) in the 1970s. Many people still remember him for this role. In 2000, he received the "Pavle Vuisić" Award for his life's work in acting. From 2011 to 2013, he was also the host of the Serbian version of the quiz show Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?.
Personal Life
Dragan Nikolić was married to another famous Serbian actress, Milena Dravić. They were a very popular couple. In the 1970s, they even hosted a fun TV variety show together called Obraz uz obraz (Cheek to Cheek).
