Dream Whip first appeared in 1957. It was created by a company called General Foods. Back then, many new "convenience foods" were becoming popular. These were foods that were quick and easy to prepare. Dream Whip was one of these clever new products!
Changing Hands
Over the years, Dream Whip's ownership changed a few times. In 1985, another big company, Philip Morris USA, bought General Foods. Eventually, Dream Whip became part of Kraft Foods Inc.. Today, it's owned by Kraft Heinz, a very large food company.
