The Dundee City Hall and Fire Station was an important building located at 4921 Underwood Avenue in the Dundee neighborhood of Omaha, Nebraska. It served as a central point for the community.

History of the Dundee Building

By 1910, the area known as Dundee was growing, and its main downtown area was located around 50th Street and Underwood Avenue. To support this growing community, the Dundee City Hall and fire station was built in 1913. This combined building was very convenient because it was placed right along the streetcar line, making it easy for people to reach.

A city hall is a building where local government leaders work and make decisions for the community. A fire station is where firefighters and their equipment are based, ready to respond to emergencies. Having both in one building showed how important these services were for the Dundee neighborhood as it developed.
