Dungarvan is a small village in County Kilkenny, Ireland. Its name in Irish is Dún Garbháin, which means "Garbhán's fort". Dungarvan is also known as a civil parish. This is an old way of dividing up land, often used for things like counting people or organizing local areas.
Dungarvan is located about 10 kilometers (about 6 miles) south-east of Kilkenny city. You can find it along the R448 road. This road connects the towns of Gowran and Thomastown.
