The Common Indian Toad (Duttaphrynus melanostictus), also known as the Common Asiatic Toad or Black-spined Toad, is a type of toad found often in South Asia. These toads can grow quite big, up to 20 centimeters long! They lay their eggs and have babies (called tadpoles) during the rainy season, known as the monsoons. Their tadpoles are black. After the monsoons, you might see lots of young toads hopping around.
