East Millcreek was a special kind of community in Salt Lake County, Utah. It was called a "census-designated place" (CDP). This means it was an area that the government counted for population, but it wasn't officially a city or town.

In 2010, East Millcreek joined with its neighbor, Millcreek. Together, they formed a new CDP. Later, in 2016, this combined area officially became the city of Millcreek.

Before this, in 2008, people in East Millcreek voted. They decided not to join the nearby city of Holladay. At the time of the 2000 census, about 21,385 people lived in East Millcreek. This was just a small increase from its population in 1990.
